The love of all animals, particularly dogs and cats have led Dr. Gan to become who he is today. Dr. Gan has always wanted to keep dogs and cats since very young and only have the chance to keep dogs and cats when he started to study at university where he pursued his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at University of Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia.

After his DVM graduation, he purchased his first Persian cat and a few later on from local and overseas breeders, mainly Persians and Exotic Shorthairs. In 2009, he started to breed and show cats in FIFe in Malaysia and obtained many Best In Shows and titles from Champion, International Champion and Grand International Champion. He also shown his cats in TICA in 2012 and obtained few titles for his cats as well, Grand Champion, Double Grand Champion, Triple Grand Champion, Quadruple Grand Champion and Supreme Grand Champion. In 2019, he started to show in CFA and achieved many highest scoring at the shows and few titles for my cats, namely Grand Champion and Divisional Winner. After the pandemic COVID-19, he also started to show his cats in FFF and achieved Breed Winner, National Winners and Regional Winners.

In 2022, Dr. Gan has started to attend and train to becoming a Judge under FFF Training Judging Program. He has great knowledge of the breed of cats, health care, feline nutrition and grooming skills. Currently he has completed his training and have been judged in Malaysia and Indonesia.
