Hairri has joined cat fancy since 2008, even though his passion for cats and animal started at a younger age. In 2008, he co-founded Zikhafri Cattery who specializes in breeding and exhibiting Maine Coon Cats at all over the world. His showing career includes exhibiting around the SE Asia, Hong Kong, China and multiple times in the United States of America. Up to this date, Zikhafri has managed to have exhibited to 52 Grand Champions and Grand Premiers who garnered Breed Winners, National Winner and Divisional Winners titles not only for Maine Coon cats, but also American Wirehairs, Ragdolls, Ocicats, Sphynx, Norwegian Forest cats and Abyssinians. In 2008, Zikhafri Cattery under his co-tutelage shown the first Malaysian-bred Breed Winner, National Winner. His exhibiting is as important as breeding to him. Apart from that, Zikhafri currently holds the record for most homebred Distinguished Merit cats with 6, of which two were males, and the first Malaysian-bred Distinguished Merit Males to the record.

Across all Internationally recognized cat associations, Hairri is Maine Coon Breed Council member, Newbee Program coordinator for International Division, Ring clerks as well as formerly a Malaysian Country rep. He was show manager for multiple shows in Malaysia and Sarawak. Hairri has judged in many local and international fun shows before accepting the role to be an FFF judge. His passion for teaching and sharing knowledges about the cats equipped him with this new responsibility.
